An iPad Gem Puzzle for Interactive Cologne 2013
It’s only a few days until INTERACTIVE COLOGNE is about to unfold!
As this year’s Gold Supporter, we’d like to build something awesome during the Hack’n’Tech Hackathon:
A multi-iPad, coordinated Touch and Rotation aware Gem Puzzle
And yes, we couldn’t come up with a shorter name…
If you’re into iOS or Mobile Web Development and would like to help us bringing this to live, we’d love to see you in Trinitatis Church, Cologne (Trinitatiskirche, Filzengraben 6, 50676 Köln) on June, 18th/19th.
We bring 25 iPads, mounted neatly to a board. You should bring your MacBook and an idea of how we could get going.
Some initial thoughts:
- Single app
- Master and slave mode and nodes
- Each iPad knows it’s position within the grid
- iPads coordinate animations with neighbors
- WLAN based (due to limited Bluetooth options)
- Possibly bring this to the app store if it works
As with most hackathons, projects need to be pitched in front of the audience. The ones which get the most positive feedback, will be executed. We will shortly add our idea to the official INTERACTIVE COLOGNE WarmUp Wiki.
